The Atlanta Falcons offensive line has not been the best unit in the league this season, and they just took another hit.
Garrett Reynolds is now out for the year, placed on injured reserve after missing the last two weeks with a lingering injury. Rookie Peter Konz has played pretty well at right guard in his place, but even if he continues to grow and becomes a far better player than Reynolds, losing him means losing quality depth at minimum. That hurts, especially if Konz doesn't continue to play well.
The only silver lining is that Phillipkeith Manley has been moved to the active roster. An intriguing blend of size and athleticism with one of the best names in the league, Manley should provide depth at guard and possibly tackle. It lessens the sting of losing Reynolds by, I dunno, 3%?
Weigh in here, and wish Reynolds a swift recovery with me.
