Julio Jones injury: Falcons wide receiver hurts leg, questionable to return

The Atlanta Falcons have lost a receiver to injury on Sunday.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones left Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints with an apparent ankle injury.

Following some time on the sideline with trainers, Jones left with field, and is currently being examined in the Falcons locker room. Recent news out of New Orleans lists Julio Jones as 'questionable' to return with what's currently being listed as a leg injury.

Up to the point he left the field, Julio Jones had caught two passes for 14 yards, as quarterback Matt Ryan was able to find Roddy White more often, who has four catches for 74 yards early in the game.

If Jones is unable to return, Atlanta will turn to third receiver Harry Douglas to fill the role. The slot receiver has 16 receptions for 149 yards this season, and while a competent receiver in his own right, doesn't hold a candle to the Falcons' second-year phenom. With Michael Turner, Roddy White, and Tony Gonzalez, the Falcons still have plenty of weapons, but their big-play potential is hurt.
