Garrett Reynolds Confirmed As Starting Right Guard

Thanks to KMarch for pointing that out. Here's a link to DOL's story of it.

Finally, the team has confirmed that Garrett Reynolds, affectionately nicknamed RGGR, has beaten out Mike Johnson for the right guard spot. It's unclear whether Johnson would've won if he hadn't suffered a concussion in the preseason, but c'est la vie.

The only battle left unconfirmed at this point is the nickelback spot, which would appear to be headed into the hands of Franks. Perhaps Hayden or Sanders will take over his spot once they're up to speed, but that remains to be seen. Hopefully the OL can develop a similar chemistry to the group of last year so that we can light up poor opponents for 65 points a game. That'd be alright.

Now that we've taken care of that, we can get the ball rolling with our offense and not have to worry about any uncertainty. Hopefully, Hawley will be able to hold the fort down at Center until McClure can come back. Center's a tough place to play.

Anywho, hooray certainty!
