Ten Best Atlanta Falcons Draft Picks: Scott Case

In this series of sponsored posts, we'll be looking at the ten worst and ten best Atlanta Falcons draft picks of all time. Let's move on to the best. Today's choice is former defensive back Scott Case.

You could make a reasonable argument that Scott Case was one of the most underappreciated players in the history of the NFL. You could also make the case he's too low on this list, but there we are.

A Falcon for nearly a decade, Case was legendary for delivering punishing hits to hapless players who got in his way. He was a one-time Pro Bowler, led the NFL in interceptions with 10 back in 1988 and just generally was totally awesome at all times.

What makes that even more impressive is that he was the last pick in the second round back in 1984 out of Oklahoma, the school that has yielded a host of quality Falcons draft picks over the years.

I remember Case fondly from my early days as a Falcons fan and the immortal Tecmo Super Bowl, so I almost put him higher on the list just for that. Any way you slice it, Case was one of the best Falcons and one of their best picks. Period.

Comment about the case for Case and check out our sponsored message, after the jump.
