In a week without a lot of ballsy performances, we still have to award a game ball. That ain't fair.
Nonetheless, award we will. That's why I'm handing the game ball to the defense, which held the Packers to their lowest point total of 2011, piled up four sacks and forced a fumble. Not only was it the best game in terms of sacks that the Falcons have had all season, but it was a damn good game period considering the caliber of the offense they were facing.
I'm most encouraged by the pass rush, which really put some solid pressure on Aaron Rodgers before fading down the stretch. The Falcons are going to need that kind of pressure to win football games down the line.
What say you to this game ball action?
