Grizzled veterans of the site will remember this effort from last year, but it's going to be bigger and better in 2011. At least, I hope so.
Basically, it's an ambitious effort to take a close look at nearly every position at the roster, grade them for their 2010 performances and try to predict what what they will do in the future. That means writing up capsules for every player in that position and grading them. It's not for the weak of fingers.
This year, I'd like to do one before the draft and free agency kick off in earnest, one following the draft and one right before the season starts. I'm targeting a February start, because even if we run these two a week, it's going to stretch out a while.
I'd be looking to break it down thusly:
Quarterbacks
Running Backs
Wide Receivers & Tight Ends
Offensive Line
Defensive Line
Linebackers
Secondary
Special Teams
Here's an example from last year, featuring orang3b and myself covering the secondary, and another one from my abstract period in 2008. Read it and then nominate yourself for a spot. If the demand is high enough, I'll be happy to feature multiple readers per post and myself and the rest of the staff can take a breather.
Go!
