The Falcons just can't stop signing their rookies. Quelle horreur!
It's obviously great news that the team has locked up Mike Johnson, an extremely versatile lineman and the easy choice for a starter at one of our two guard spots by the end of 2011. It's better news that the Falcons have managed to get to this point and sign so many picks, especially because there's murmurs of progress in getting Sean Weatherspoon signed. Holdouts are obnoxious at best, and it looks like we might avoid them altogether.
For 2010, you'll probably see Johnson helping out on special teams and getting snaps to spell Justin Blalock and Harvey Dahl. For the future? If Big Mike gets a little help with his footwork, the sky might just be the limit.
