On the first day, Thomas Dimitroff selected Sean Weatherspoon, and he saw that it was good. On the second day....
....well, we don't know. It's going to be an exciting but long day for Falcons' fans, who barring a trade will have to wait until the middle of the third round to start seeing any action on the second day of the 2010 NFL Draft. They'll then have two in fairly rapid succession.
Obviously speculation is going to run rampant, but I remain convinced that these picks will focus on two from the list of offensive linemen, wide receivers, defensive ends or cornerbacks. I'm leaning heavily toward someone like Matt Tennant, the Boston College center, if he's still available, and Dave Choate favorite Eric Decker from Minnesota if that wide receiver is still hanging around. But it's anyone's guess, of course.
Just like last night, consider this your live blog for the NFL Draft. I'll be in the comments covering the entire night with you, joined by the Robins to my Batman, Adam Schultz and Jason Kirk. In between, I'll post quick-hit threads about our newest draft picks, which will NOT be replacements for live threads but rather a place to discuss those selections. With all that settled, let's get rolling!
