Every week before the Falcons game, I'll be selecting one player to keep an especially close eye on. This week, it's running back Michael Turner.

You were expecting someone else? Given that Turner has been under my watchful eye in this feature more times than any other Falcon, you shouldn't be.

Turner's headed to the Pro Bowl after posting impressive numbers on the whole, but it's been a tale of two Turners. There's the explosive Turner aided by the Falcons giving a crap about run blocking, and then there's the Turner who can't get it going and gets no help from his line. The two are inextricably linked.

Against a lackluster Panthers run defense and smarting after a horrible game against the Saints, I expect Turner to go insane in this one. The Falcons will try to rest him late if the game gets out of hand, but he's good for 15-20 carries even if they take it easy on him. One final 100 yard game to finish out the season seems at the very least possible, if not downright lucky.

So keep a close eye on Turner.
