So you've signed up for an account at The Falcoholic, but you haven't commented yet. Maybe your keyboard suddenly broke. Maybe you've forgotten rudimentary English. Maybe you prefer to hang out in the background. I don't know, of course. I'm not a doctor.
Still, now's as good a time as any to get your feet wet in the off-season discussion, which is a bit slower-paced. Those of you who haven't can sign up for an account right here, while those of you who already have accounts are welcome to join in. When it comes to talking Falcons, the more is always the merrier.
But let's say you're commenting and you want to promote something particularly brilliant from the cadre of commenters who are typing away alongside you. Why, that's so easy, even I can do it when I'm stone sober! All you have to do is click the little button and red text underneath a comment that says actions and hit the rec button when it pops up. Now you've recognized an excellent comment, and everyone involved feels good about themselves.
Then there's FanPosts. You may notice that the flow of those beauties on the right-hand sidebar have been a bit slower as of late, so now's as good a time as any to get yours in. Basically, anything that 's discussion worthy and Falcons-related is great for there. Take a look at some of the ones dotting the sidebar now to get a sense of what's welcome here. All I ask is that it gets discussion and isn't blatantly insulting or taking a position that is not defensible (i.e., "why isn't Chris Miller our starting quarterback?!?!"). Those can also be recommended to push them to the top of the list, by scrolling to the bottom of a post and clicking the little rec button once more.
Basically, I'd like to see as many of you as possible involved and talking. There's potential for a great season ahead, and there's no time like the present to get warmed up for it. If you have any questions, as always, shoot me an e-mail at davethefalconer@yahoo.com and I'll get to your query as soon as humanly possible. For those of you who fear e-mail, leave questions here in the comments.
