With the Al Davis "make a splash, spend some cash" mantra being chanted, Darren McFadden was overwhelmingly picked despite the fact that the Raiders have at least two competent backs already. Still, McFadden is likely going to take a lot of pressure off young JaMarcus Russell, so not a bad pick.
The Kansas City Chiefs, ably represented by Arrowhead Pride, also have a lot of needs. They arguably need help on the defensive line, offensive line, secondary and possibly quarterback. Rumors have been swirling that they might even take Matt Ryan to contend with Brodie Croyle for the starting job.
