I thought Lewis was an interesting pick near the bottom of the draft as a big tackle from a small school who seemed like a good long term project. Now he's going to get his shot a lot sooner than I expected.
This is bad news for the team, of course. Babineaux was playing out of his mind up the middle. He was an interception and a jackknife powerbomb away from doing everything a defensive tackle could possibly do, and if he's out for as many as three weeks I'm seriously concerned. Lewis has a handful of tackles and a sack coming off the bench and he does have loads of promise. This is probably the best week for him to get some experience as a starter, if for no other reason than that the Texans kinda suck at running the ball.
Good luck, Trey!
