Bender: I can't see. Are we boned?
Leela: Yeah, we're boned.

I'll make this brief because I don't want to dwell on it. Crumpler's out for another week of practice, which is increasingly worrying news.
Alge Crumpler is this team's best receiver, a good blocker and one of the locker room leaders. There's simply no way to replace somebody like Crumpler, especially when your other options are Daniel Fells, Dwayne Blakley, Martrez Milner and George Cooper. No offense to any of those guys, but no matter how much promise they show in practice they almost certainly can't replace Crumpler at all. As far as I know, Milner is the only one who can catch at all.
More than likely, Crumpler's just going to be sore for a while. The coaching staff is smart to keep him sidelined, and they should absolutely continue to do so through the preseason if necessary. He doesn't need practice as much as he needs to be totally healthy for the season. It's probably nothing to worry about. You'll forgive me, however, if I spend the next three days curled up in the fetal position, sobbing into my Fantasy Football Index.
