I'm not going to go into detail on where I've been; suffice to say it involved snow, fire alarms, power outages and beer. That's more than enough to put you out of action for a few days, am I right? Right.
But we've got catching up to do. First I want to direct you to the SBNation Mock Draft page over at Field Gulls, because catching up to the frenetic pace established by my batterymates at this time seems useless. Suffice to say there's been a lot of interesting picks, and you really need to read up on what everyone's been doing. Use this thread to also give me some idea of what you'd like to see in the second round...right now I'm leaning toward OL, if the price is right.
Some other news:
The AJC reports that the Falcons re-signed Dwayne Blakley, giving way to what I feel is a ridiculous number of tight ends. Alge Crumpler is a pass catcher, but the remaining three seem to be purely blockers...oh, wait. I see where they're going with this.
Also at the AJC, D. Orlando Ledbetter tells us that the Falcons are wooing Jay Fiedler (maybe). Fiedler's a guy I feel could fit in pretty well in Atlanta, but his recent injury history leads me to believe his throwing arm might be a little suspect. If there's one thing we don't need behind Vick, it's that. Even though Chris Redman already offers it. But color me at least mildly interested on that one.
