A Slow News Day Forces My Hand

When I link to the AJC and D. Orlando Ledbetter twice in one day, you're looking at a slow news day. But I was both interested and puzzled by Ledbetter's recounting of the #8 picks over the last twenty years. There's some pretty superior talent in those picks, but in every single one Ledbetter points out what seems to be a superior pick that was made later on. Without ever actually coming out and saying it, he seems to be strongly implying that the Falcons should move down...which makes no sense to me. On one hand, we might be able to get a couple more quality players by doing so, but it's just as likely that we'll end up whiffing on superior talent. But I did find the choices pretty interesting...especially 1992. Good ol' Bob Whitfield.
