On a scale of one to pants-peeing terror, a headline that features the words "Alge Crumpler" "has" and "surgery" is a solid wet spot. But thankfully it looks like the surgery is similar to what Alge had last year, which means there's no reason he won't be back well in advance of the regular season. The fact that he's needed this two years in a row as he comes up on age 30 is a bit of a concern, though. This one's on his knee instead of his shoulder, and if you watched him at all this year you'll know his knees looked/ were a bit balky at times. If this gets him back to full strength, all's well. If the surgeon screws up, I'll kill him with a baseball bat.
