Courtesy of my brother-in-arms JKirkendall at Cincy Jungle, our prodigal bust draft pick is staying in the 'Nati. I actually was hopeful that we could pick up Kelly relatively cheaply, as he's the kind of well-rounded tight end that would have been perfect for spelling/benchwarming Alge Crumpler, and he would've been especially useful in any two tight end sets. But hats off to the Bengals. They wanted the guy back and they gave him the money and the years necessary to put it together. Unless we want another team's castoff, we're going with the ones we've got, which isn't the most crushing thing in the world. It just would've been nice to have Kelly throwing some blocks back there.
