I know the Falcons are on a tight budget, but somehow I didn't envision them picking up a DT that was cast off by the Lions. Anthony Bryant played in four games last year, picked up eight tackles, and was party to a fumble recovery. Either the Falcons see something in him that I'm just not privy to, or this was an extremely desperate depth move to hedge bets against Babineaux getting locked up (they won't let him out).
Either way, welcome to the team, Anthony. The Falcons actually have a good recent history with defensive tackles, so maybe they'll maximize his potential. At least he's young.
