Kerney Not Really Sorry

Sorry, Patrick. If you really regretted having to leave the Falcons, you wouldn't have voided the last two years on your contract. Instead, you've basically gone and given the Falcons no chance to re-sign you, which tells me you weren't all that interested in being here ever again.
But hell... I'll always remember what a great player you were for us and how much you did in the community. Vick was considered the face of the franchise, but the intensity and effort you played with will always remind me of the best moments in my life as a Falcons fan. You were a terrific player, and you will be missed.

You'll excuse me if I boo you when you come back to the Georgia Dome, if you ever do. And you'll forgive me if I don't really believe your expressions of regret for not spending the rest of your career here. You're either sick of the losing or you just want to chase the money. Either way, I understand it, but I'm not sure I'm going to think of you the same way now that you've left the Falcons with no choice but to let you go.

That's just the business side of things, you know.
