tells us that RB Marlion Jackson and S Nick Turnbull have been banished to the practice squad in favor of Lance Schulters and Derrick Johnson. Johnson's an interesting young player, a former University of Washington CB who is in his second year and his third team already. He was originally a sixth round pick, but he's shown flashes of talent and will probably be expected to step in as the nickel/dime back as soon as he's ready. Absolutely no downside for the Falcons, and considerable upside if Johnson plays well.
