It is an ESPN Insider piece, and they had this to say about Spoon: OLB: Sean Weatherspoon, Falcons Weatherspoon was involved in 16 percent of Atlanta's total defensive plays, third among outside linebackers. He was particularly strong when it came to stopping the run, and made his average tackle on run plays after a gain of just 2.0 yards, which ranked second among 4-3 outside linebackers. Weatherspoon was also part of a Falcons linebacker group that played excellent pass defense. The Falcons ranked first in the league in DVOA against tight ends and seventh in DVOA against running backs as receivers.

"Sean Weatherspoon, Linebacker, Atlanta Falcons They're the top seed in the NFC, but even ardent fans of the game can't name any Falcons other than Matt Ryan and Roddy White. (Most of 'em forget they still have Tony Gonzalez.) Which is odd, because Atlanta used to be home to a slew of outsized personalities, led by Michael Vick. This Falcons team, though, is as vanilla a team as you'll find. That is, of course, except for their affable young rookie linebacker, Sean Weatherspoon. He's had an injury-plagued rookie season and was banged up in Week 17 versus Carolina, but should be good to go for the Falcons Divisional Round game next weekend. This fella is always talking, always moving, always in the mix. Don't be shocked if he's the guy who steals the show on Super Bowl Media Day, and then steals the big game a few days later. "

Northfan's Mock v3.0 gets put in its place (poop-can) by The Chicago Tribune writer's poll of the NFL teams' city newspaper beat writers. Triplett took Hughes for the Saints at 32. Suh went to the Lions at #2, the Raiders took Bruce Campbell at #8 (have a suck on that, CP) and Dave The Falconer is pleased with the Falcons pick of Weatherspoon at #19. And all is again right with the world.
