Open Game Thread: Falcons @ Panthers

Who? Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers, 1:00 PM ET

Where? Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina

Weather? Partly cloudy, mid-60's and

Fun Fact? Did you know that the Panthers are the only team in the league that hasn't won a game at home (aside from the Dolphins and Rams, who, uh, haven't won a game period.) That bodes well.

Injuries? Leftwich is effectively out and Norwood is questionable. The Panthers will be going without David Carr and likely Vinny Testaverde. Center Justin Hartwig and WR Keary Colbert are also questionable.

Odds? Carolina favored by 3.5, O/U 36

Foe? Jaxon over at Cat Scratch Reader breaks it all down for your reading pleasure. As an added bonus, he's far less cynical than I am.

Let's scratch these Cats!

Update [2007-11-11 12:14:45 by Dave the Falconer]: Norwood is officially inactive, according to RotoWorld. Pinner moves into the backup spot and will likely get 5-10 carries today.

You're too kind
Though I suspect you have different reasons for wanting the Falcons to win...

Once again
This is a very winnable game.  Let's do this!!

(That's exactly what I said about last week and we won, it will know be my mantra/superstition moving forward.  Expect to see that same comment every week.)

Let's matriculate the ball down the field boys.

I enjoy the optimism
I've been a sourpuss most of the season, but I'm coming around.

Warrick Dunn is sending a pretty hearty
F-you to his critics again this week. I can't believe Dunn would take half a year off, so the blocking must be improving.

thats unbelievable
....just when you thought joey was rubbish he completes passes to himself!

watching the game on nfl.com

"1-10 ATL20 (13:33) J.Harrington pass short middle to J.Harrington to ATL 24 for 4 yards (J.Beason)"

any light on the situation? just a typo or the greatest play ever?

THEY HAVE A FREAKING ROOKIE WORKING THE GAME AT NFL.COM AND THE IMAGE JUST SHOWED ROBINSON FUMBLE AND THEN HARRIS RECOVER AND FUMBLE THEN D.HALL RECOVER AND SCORE A 70 YARD TOUCHDOWN......the reality after he realised his mistake was a little different

got my freaking hopes up amidst wondering why hall was on offense
