1. Obi Melifonwu safety (U Conn)
2. Tarrel Basham DE (Ohio)
3. Isaac Isiata G (Utah)
4. George Kittle TE (Iowa)
5. Carlos Watkins DT (Clemson)
7. Jordan Evans OLB (OKL)
Obi is the kind of freak DQ loves and will be a game changer in time. Basham has the speed and size Quinn loves and will be a 3 down DE. Since Lamp will not be at 31, the quality is similar for the next 4 or 5. isiata is smart, big and strong enough to pass block well and fast enough for ZBS. Kittle is an excellent blocker, good hands and runs a 4.5 40 at 6'4", 250#. This guy could be a true steal at 4th. There are so many good DL in this draft that I see Watkins slipping to us much like Grady did 2 years ago. Powerful interior lineman that could develop into a pass rush force with good coaching. Evans would also have to slide a bit for us. I hope so. Good size at 6'3" 235, 4.5 40 and had 4 picks as a senior at OKL. Also a ST beast. Much depends on some quality slipping down for us but this is a deep draft for defense and TE's so I believe it is reasonable. All of these picks fit DQ mold of speed, size and athleticism.
