Last Thoughts and Predictions Before Training Camp.

Each year before training camp teams are evaluating players and making sure that both coaches and members of the first office are on the same page on where they want the team to go. They are making sure that they are putting players in the best position with both scheme and playcalls. While teams evaluate the players they have but still search to see if there are needs to be taken care of through free agency. Teams have to solve each problem before training camp but some can't be solved til during or after camp. The Falcons and Head Coach Dan Quinn has problems just as any other teams but three of them will be interesting to see pan out.

1) Safety Ricardo Allen?

Allen has been a pleasant surprise to both coaching staff and fans this off-season. In each phase leading up to training camp he has impressed but can he prove himself not only at camp but in the pre-season. After running with first-defense with fellow safety William Moore , Allen has been leading the race for the starting free safety and will prove that Quinn made a great decision in him.

Prediction: Starting Free Safety

2) Who'll be the slot receiver?

To even begin this discussion you have to admire the amount of talent we have in one position. We arguably the greatest receiver in franchise history (Roddy White), one of top five if not top three receiver in the league (Julio Jones), and a great supporting class with Devin Hester, Justin Hardy, Leonard Hankerson, and Eric Weems. But still there is the loaded question on who will be the third receiver in the rotation. Many will cheer for veteran Hester, some for the may root for the former third-rounder Hankerson, and others may choose rookie Hardy. It's honestly not a bad decision but one of them has to glide above the competition.

Prediction: Hester wins for first half of season , Hardy takes over second half.

3) Tyson Jackson?

Tyson who? Tyson what? Oh, that guy that we five million a year to? He still plays for us? Will if he does then he'll have a hard time getting play time this year (Thank God). With the signing of Adrian Clayborn and the development of Ra'shede Hageman and Grady Jarrett , there isn't much space (literally) for Jackson. Still only time can tell what the future holds.

Prediction: Cut by third pre-season.

Now these are all my opinions and I can be proven wrong at anytime. So if you think different gone ahead and tell me.
