One of the benefits of the bye week is that it gives players an opportunity to get healthy and rested for the rest of the season. This is certainly true for the Falcons. Several players remain limited in practice, but only one player was held out on Wednesday.
Dan Quinn confirmed prior to practice that safety Robenson Therezie would be held out Wednesday as he continues to heal from a hamstring injury he suffered against the Niners. Robert Alford (groin), who worked with the athletic performance staff on Monday, did return to practice today in a limited capacity.
Leonard Hankerson (hamstring), William Moore (groin), Justin Durant (calf), Tyson Jackson (ribs) and Grady Jarrett (elbow) were all limited in Wednesday's practice. Paul Soliai, who had a concussion, has cleared protocol and was able to practice fully on Wednesday.
Although that's still a lot of players listed as limited in today's practice, it's encouraging that they're able to get some work in, and it's still early in the week. We'll keep an eye on their status throughout the week, but it's reasonable to expect most of the guys who are currently limited might be able to play against the Colts on Sunday.
