How Can T.J. Yates Be Serviceable For The Falcons ?

Some ways that Yates can contribute to this team.

Let's look at the bright side of this signing, It was good that the F.O acknowledge the back up Qb spot they went out and got a good player to back up Matty ice. In my personal opinion i don't think T.J. Yates should just rot why he's in Atlanta he should have a role on this team to. Yates is a good back up player, He can put out and get down when he's called upon. I like his game, Though he lacks with accuracy but he has some get away from the cops speed in his legs(Being Sarcastic, Meaning that he's not that fast). Not saying he's Cam Newton fast but as if you don't wanna get caught by the police then take off running type of fast.

With only a career high of 17 Attemps and 57 Yrds. rush with 4 touchdowns, What's not to love about Yates the great. I see him being a flanker type of Qb in the offense ---- For Example, you know how Matt Ryan will probably give the ball to the scatback or run a screen with them on a 3RD & 2 , 3RD & 3 , 3RD & 4 or 3RD & 5 , He will most likely throw on 3RD & 6 - 3RD & 9 , But anyways with those short yardage just think about it this way, Our receivers wouldn't have to work twice as hard nor will our Rb's because we have a scrabbler backing up our million dollar starting quaterback. So why not throw in some option plays for him --- Considering the fact that teams won't really key in on him.

They'll be locked in on Roddy White, Julio Jones, Harry Douglas, and Devin Hester, But that's if we decide to go with a 4 WR set. Witch it probably won't happen, Probably for clutch situations it will. But my point is this, We have T.J. Yates to get us those 1st downs on money downs, Only when the downs are short. It takes pressure off Matty ice, speedy sneaky Stevey(Steven Jackson), Quizznos, and all of our top notch recievers.
