Hi guys new to the forums but I am a longtime Falcons fan. I love to creep all the Atlanta forums and Dave's post about the low possibility of a trade down caught my eye. Knowing TD as most Falcons fans do I couldn't fault his logic, but I do see the possibility of one and I will discuss why Sitting there at number 2 and 13 is St Louis while some fans want us to trade up the price would be steep. Les Snead and TD seem to follow the trade chart pretty close as evidenced by last years Desmond Trufant trade. Moving from 6th to 2nd is a 1000 point jump with our current draft stock that would mean our first second and third round picks plus a third next year if they try and follow the chart. A very steep price indeed! In the interest of being open minded lets consider that's more than the front office wants to pay as of right now,not that they won't but for arguments sake stay with me. That leads me to the 13th pick valued at 1150 to our sixth valued at 1600. Oh and there second round pick is valued at 450 see how neatly this is lining up. They could use a high quality receiver like Sammy Watkins but the second pick is a very coveted pick and thirteen probably takes Watkins off the board. Les Snead and TD suddenly makes sense again because at 13 the falcons which have many holes to fill could choose the best player available and fill another spot with an extra high second round pick..TD and Snead's relationship helps in this I realize this is conjecture and theory craft i know but I believe it is a scenario that makes sense even if highly unlikely. Let me Know your thoughts and thank you for reading.
