What to do with Asante?

Asante has been a great Falcon for us. From helping our amazing rookie CB duo develop to making big plays and bringing a swagger to our D. We all know that he isn't giving the production for his salary and we won't take much of a cap hit if we just release him. But is that our best option? His market in free agency will be slim in my opinion so renegotiating seems viable. A lot of CB move to free safety as their careers come to a close (Charles Woodson, Rod Woodson, Ronde Barber, etc.). To me this seems like a match made in heaven. We have a huge need at FS and we could renegotiate a 2 year 3 million type deal with him to be a FS. This would allow us to focus on other needs while not spending to much money in the secondary and also not get locked into any long term deals.
