Roddy White is a tough son of gun. The kind that chews nails and spits them back out as tiny robots. He's tough.
That's the upshot of his career thus far, besides sustained excellence: White simply doesn't miss games. That's why I can't for a moment sweat it when he's listed as Questionable on the weekly injury report, which he is against the Saints.
The injury report this week is a cause for mild concern. While I fully expect Roddy White to play, there's two other questionables listed. Here's the full list:
Probable
Joe Hawley
Matt Bryant
Questionable
Roddy White
Stephen Nicholas
Asante Samuel
The concerns here would be Stephen Nicholas and Asante Samuel. If Nicholas can't play, Joplo Bartu and/or Kroy Biermann would get a ton of snaps to replace him. That might get a little rough.
If Samuel misses time, the Falcons would have to throw either Robert Alford or Dominique Franks into the fire outside, because taking Robert McClain out of the slot isn't in the team's best interest. That would also be damaging against a high-powered passing offense.
Mike Smith has said he expects all these guys to play, so don't get too worried just yet. Just hope none of them are limited.
