So I'm browsing videos right? I'm on the Saints' site because I wanted to see their perspective of the game last Sunday. Who do I come across? None other than Curtis Lofton (his video was named we ROSE to the occasion). So of course I though he was being a smart arse, playing with our slogan. Any way, less than a minute into the video, he says something that's VERY disturbing.
Reporter: "Walk me through those last two plays."
Curtis Lofton: "It was kind of funny, they ran the same plays last year that they ran this year. And we stopped them
last year and we stopped them again this year."
In the same situation that you previously FAILED in, you run the SAME plays?
W T F?
I know a fade in the goal to go situation isn't an amazingly startling concept but we have some huge athletic guys we
have to try something different. I rarely see us try that. Why not spread out wide and attempt a draw with HUGE
Steven Jackson, maybe a wide receiver screen? I know that could be a colossal failure if sniffed out and go back for
6 but ^#$@!##%@ try some new *%^$#&@! How about a screen to Quizz out of a 2 WR 2RB 1 TE or 2 TE set with Toilolo's giant frame. I just can't understand how you'd run the same plays. The exact same plays that failed against the same opponent in the same situation. Why?
