First, sorry for any mistakes I make, I am not a Falcon follower, I will probably not get some facts right. I will say I respect Matt Ryan. He is at least a top 10 QB in the league, top 5 is also debatable. I feel like Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco are almost opposite in terms of production in the regular season and playoffs. Matt Ryan almost always has very good regular seasons and the Falcons have made the playoffs every year (Did they miss a year somewhere?). Joe has always had a great running game and a great defense (except this year). That helps him a lot to win games. The Falcons have had a decent-mediocre running game and not the best defense. Ryan, with the help of some good WR's, has always had good regular season production and the Falcons can rely on him to make the plays needed to win a game. He is picked on for his lack of playoff success, but I believe that is not entirely his fault. But the QB is always blamed for every loss.
Joe is definitely a lot different. He is very inconsistent during the regular season. He goes from Johnny Unitas to Blainne Gabbert to anywhere between. We never really can say we know he's going to step up during a regular season game. Look at our 4 losses in 2011: The Titans, Jaguars, Seahawks (before Russel Wilson), and Chargers. We really never know how Joe is going to do. During the playoffs though he steps it up. He has outdueled Brady, Manning, Kaepernick, Luck, whoever. As long as we get into the playoffs, I always feel good that we have a chance to win the Superbowl.
I don't know which one I'd pick, but hopefully we can meet in the Superbowl to determine which is better.
