SB Nation Mock Draft Falcons Haul

I represented the Falcons in the SBN/TST Mock Draft, and I think I came away with a great haul. Durst and jwright27 were my war room members, and we did a great job. First, I traded Stephen Nicholas and a 5th to the Titans for Colin McCarthy and a 7th.

Round 1 - Tank Carradine, DE, Florida State - Instant starter if he's healthy enough to go week 1. Could be the best pass rusher in the draft.. DE to build around.

Round 2 - Jamie Collins, OLB, Southern Miss (Traded)

Round 3 - Logan Ryan, CB, Rutgers (Traded)

After the 3rd round the Patriots approached me with a trade. I was able to get Dee Milliner, the tenth overall pick, for just Collins and Ryan.

Round 4 - Chase Thomas, OLB, Stanford - Replacement for Jamie Collins after the trade. Can start at OLB instantly. Very versatile.

Round 4 (comp.) - Jordan Hill, DT, Penn State - Strong DT who will replace Vance Walker in the rotation.

Round 6 - Conner Vernon, WR, Duke - Will compete with Harry Douglas for slot duty. Solid receiver who can also return kicks and punts.

Round 7 (TEN) - Zach Sudfeld, TE, Nevada - One of the best tight ends in the class. Great blocker with good size and athleticism. Can be Tony Gonzalez's replacement.

Round 7 - Sean Renfree, QB, Duke - Matt Ryan's longterm backup. One of my favorite quarterbacks in the class.

Round 7 (comp.) - Theo Riddick, RB, Notre Dame - Versatile player who can also return kicks and punts, play in the slot, or out of the backfield. Should be very good on special team coverage also.

Round 7 (comp.) - Rod Sweeting, CB, Georgia Tech - Great athlete who will provide depth at corner and play well on special teams. Will fill the same role as Chris Owens last year.

Round 7 (comp.) - Manase Foketi, OT/OG, West Texas A&M - Big, versatile lineman who can add depth to the offensive line.
