I knew we adored you for a reason, C4.
William Moore has been pretty quiet this off-season, aside from the reports that he plans to test the open market. He may still be looking to get there, but his latest comments are a pretty strong indicator that he would like to return to Atlanta and that negotiations are underway.
Let's look at a quote from the latest Atlanta Journal-Constitution piece.
Athletes can say one thing and do another, and if Moore makes it to the open market, perhaps he'll bolt for more dollars in St. Louis or somewhere else. But the D-Block ties, the W.A.R. rap and more suggest that C4 genuinely likes it in Atlanta, and he's likely to get a nice contract to continue to be a beloved safety on a potential Super Bowl contender. What's not to like?
The only question, of course, is what he'll be paid if he does come back. We'll tackle what happens if he doesn't come back tomorrow morning, but for now, this is welcome news.
Let's hope Moore's on his way back to being part of a nice duo with Thomas DeCoud. Your thoughts?
