We've had this conversation before, and I know you're all itching for a discussion post. The DW penned a great read yesterday, recalling the 2008 draft. Undoubtedly we'll have similar conversations years from now, and why not project those conversations now? Sure, by the time 2018 rolls around, Alex will be in prison and Dave will have twenty-four children, but I'm confident good times are ahead.
If I had to guess, one or more of the defensive stars on the 2018 roster will be products of this draft. If you look at the list of players the Falcons have interviewed and/or worked out, it's riddled with defensive players. I'd say that's a fairly good indication Thomas Dimitroff is looking to shore up his defense. It's also possible the 2018 roster's will feature a tight end or offensive linemen from this year's draft. The Falcons have a track record of finding offensive linemen in the back end of drafts. As we all know, tight end will eventually be a position of need on this team.
