I know what some of you are thinking. If I had to guess, it's some mixture of skepticism and disbelief.
Tyrann Mathieu is certainly a controversial figure these days. His pot smoking ways have cost him all kinds of money; more money than I'll make in the next decade. Whether you believe marijuana possession is a grave offense or personally recall THC-fueled Funyun binging, Mathieu's slow learning curve is a little ridiculous. He's also undersized. But heck, why not let him visit?
This is all about cost-benefit analysis. Is he worth a 1st or 2nd round pick? Probably not at this point. Would the Falcons give him a look if he's still around in the 3rd or 4th rounds? Sure. He's still a huge risk, but for a fourth round pick, you'd be remiss not to consider it. We desperately need help at corner back. If the man is cancerous in any way, shape, or form, then you let him go. Not much sweat off your back.
