The Browns signed one former Falcons corner back today, and apparently they're still interested in another.

Stop reading now if your response is "so what?!" And for the record, Mary Kay Cabot isn't a nun from Belgium. Cabot is a Browns beat writer - she knows her stuff.
Like it or not, Brent Grimes' situation is our situation. The Falcons want to re-sign him, and if they can't, their draft strategy changes markedly. Even so, not signing Grimes doesn't necessarily affect the rest of free agency, because the Falcons are quickly running out of salary cap space. Osi Umenyiora's signing is seemingly imminent, and contrary to popular belief, cap space doesn't grow on trees.
If I had to guess, the Browns will eventually sign Grimes. They're not stupid. I'd be dumbfounded if they're actually looking at Chris Owens like the Lions looked at Chris Houston. They know Owens isn't very good.
Discuss.
