Now lets be clear, these are the facts;
1) Tyrann Mathieu is a talented football player with extremely good instincts and has shown that on the field, he is a massive play making ability. His size is seemingly voided by this.
2) Tyrann Mathieu has more red flags than I can even be bothered to type out here. We know the history and we know the trouble he's been in. He's the opposite of a Dimitroff pick and that's being kind.
He does however seem to have matured somewhat, but still possesses that 'swagger'. I wonder if the Falcons would actually be a good fit for someone like Tyrann, if he were to still be available come the 3rd or 4th round pick for the Falcons? He needs a veteran to guide him, give him a shove in the right direction every now and then, but someone he can relate too in terms of character...
Step up Asante 'Swag 100' Samuel.
Asante Samuel has more attitude than I can even describe, but last year proved to be the leader and veteran mind our secondary was desperately after. He let us have attitude on the defense, that helped everything we tried to do. I have no doubt he could be the guiding, and controlling factor a team would need to keep Mathieu on the straight and narrow, turning the Honey Badger into a talented play making machine for the Falcons.
Despite all the potential issues, it's worth a shot.
