I've seen entirely too much questioning of Matt Ryan here lately. I know, I know...it's just your opinion, and you have the right to express it. Sure, go ahead. However, it's also important that if you think Matt Ryan is not an excellent QB, that you know you're wrong. You're just wrong. There are plenty of areas we can collectively moan about the Falcons, but QB isn't one of them, and thank god for that.
What you'll see below is an infographic of the Falcons Offense, which sits just outside the top ten, by the way. As you will undoubtedly notice, the majority of the production originates with #2 of the offense, one Matt Ryan. Moreover, out of all the QBs in the League, he currently owns the 4th highest DYAR behind only Manning (duh), Rivers (resurgent), and Brees (hiss). That's great, and you really can't argue that; don't waste your breath. You should also notice that all three of those QBs ahead of Mr. Ryan are older than him. Even Rivers is three years older than Matty. Hell, Peyton is almost a decade older.
I'd love to have a discussion about the rest of the positions as well. As you see, the OFF is still doing quite well, so I think we all need to take a breath before suggesting we fire Koetter and start next season with our 3 OC in 4 years. That's not a positive way to build success in the NFL.
I welcome rational debate below.
