Tony Dorsett The Latest In A Long List Of Players Affected By CTE

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

Running back legend Tony Dorsett has been diagnosed with early CTE, says his family is scared of him.

Even one of the all-time great running backs, Tony Dorsett, isn't immune to the brain disease that is rampaging through former NFL players.

Here's a link to the story.

One of the worst feelings in the world has to be loving someone who is legitimately afraid of you. I personally have never experienced that problem, but it doesn't take a genius to imagine trying to show someone love (like a child), only to have them recoil in fear because they don't know how to react.

By many accounts, Dorsett was a genuine, respectable guy. I read the Yahoo! article on him and most, if not all, of the comments were very positive about how he carried himself.

Most every football fan knows what CTE is, but if I may give a bit of advice to people my age:

If you want to make a difference in life, go study CTE. Go out there, study it, research it, and try to find a way to prevent it. My dad has times when he can't remember things, and he only played football in high school. This is everywhere. It's not just limited to those who play in the NFL. There are probably college players who have suffered from the same thing but have no money to help themselves.

This is a serious issue, folks. You don't need me to tell you that.
