2008 Week 3: Chiefs @ Falcons and Falcons win 38-14.
3 rushing TDs and 104 yards by Mike Turner including a 38 yard jailbreak where Pat Thomas was dragged a few yards before being brought down by another chief in the secondary. His 3 TD's tie second place for most rushing TDs by a falcon in a single game. Norwood put up an additional 75 yards averaging nearly 7 yards a carry. White got 5 receptions for 119 of Matt Ryan's 189 yards and a TD. (more recap after the jump)
"The Predator" John Abraham brought the pressure with 2 sacks on Tyler Thigpen and an interception a piece by Eric Coleman, Brent Grimes, and Chris Houston. Dwayne Bowe and Tony Gonzalez (traded to the falcons after 08 season) had 4 catches each for 43 and 38 yards, respectively, with Bowe tacking on a touchdown. This was Charles' rookie season, and KC's lead rusher was still Larry Johnson, who got a TD and 121 yds on 24 attempts.
In today's meeting with the injured KC secondary and DL, and hobbled J Charles, and Atlanta's beefed up secondary i look for a big falcons win, w/ 4 touchdowns by some combination of White, Jones, Douglas, Gonzalez, Rodgers, or Turner. and KC putting up under 250 yards and 14 points max.
