It Was Glorious

And it sure was! What a day and weekend here in San Diego, the town where I was born and raised, and still live in. It's not often that the Falcons come out here, but I have managed to see all six regular season games played here, 1973, 1979, 1991, 1997, 2008 and of course 2012! All Falcon wins. But I believe that yesterday this game was the most satisfying of them all. Not only a dominating Falcons victory, but the pregame party the night before at my house with some of the folks that went to the game, and of course, Sunday. We got down to the Q around 8am to start setting up in enemy territory, and hardly any razing by Charger fans. The others who couldn't make it to the pregame party joined us in our tailgate area, and also other fellow Falcon fans and friends. We saw the Falcons buses come in around 10am, and the was cool. The rest of the tailgating was rather fun and we all had a good time. We also talked to Charger fans as well. Charger fans in general are friendly and knowlegable. We got into the Q itself around 12;45. Our little group sat in upper view (great seats, BTW) and just had a blast! Loved watching our airborne killers put it to the Charger horses all day. Near the end of the game, we moved to "premium" field seats, chanting "Let's go Falcons" and getting booed the whole time. I estimate there was at least 10 to 12 thousand Falcoholics there. When the Falcons first came on to the field, they got booed. I love getting booed by the opposite fan base, they know that you are good! The game was glorious, to say the least. I think that after the Falcons went up 20-0, that this one was done. Matty Ice was a surgeon, just carving up the Chargers D all day. Tony G, another big day against his former division foe, and Michael Turner finally getting it going. The D (I call it Falcon Swarm) was deadly as falcons, just a total beat down. All in all a glorious day. This is who was in our group from the Falcoholic: Me of course! Aces (Jose) KashBerry (name withheld by request and please don't ask why) Falcon in the Desert (Jon) Blood Talon (Joseph) Ocfalcon (Kevin) Muuzilla (Billy) And their wives, kids, siblings, etc. Also, my friends from the ATL who have season tickets that made the trip out here for the second time in four years. Facebook Falcoholics, and many new friends and fans who share our passion: The Falcons! Thank You to those who came to my house for the pre and post game parties and attending the game. If it was not for these and the other folks, this would not of been possible. If there are any fellow Falcoholics that attended this game, please post your comments besides those of us that attended.
