Matt Ryan and Peyton Manning have been compared countless times since Ryan came into the league. Now it's time to stack them up against each other in an actual game.
While it may not be the most critical matchup in the game by the time all is said and done, it's certainly going to be the most fun to watch. Manning is rolling into the twilight of his career now, but he's one of the finest quarterbacks of his generation, and Ryan would be both lucky and thrilled to have 75% of his career arc.
It's going to be worth watching how this one unfolds. The weight of these two teams' offenses will rest on the unusually narrow shoulders of both Ryan and Manning, and the outcome will give the talking heads quite a bit of fodder. Even if they're likely to focus on Manning regardless.
So let's have a little bit of a discussion. What are the final stat lines going to look like for these two quarterbacks?
