There's no huge takeaway from today's Falcons-Titans practice. There's no tackling and very little in the way of chocolate in scheming, only vanillas. That's what happens when two teams get together for practice in, you know, August.
Nonetheless, the Falcons are continuing a proud tradition of bringing other teams in for practice. It's a chance for our beloved team to check out an intense quarterback battle between Jake Locker and Matt Hasselbeck, one of the league's finer backs in Chris Johnson, and an emerging defense. As I've said in years past, it's a great way to mix things up in practice, at minimum.
Personally, I'll be interested to hear how the Titans look, as a team on the verge of contending in a muddled AFC South. I'll also be interested to see who stands out amongst the young players with brand new competition, something that might just throw a couple of them for a loop.
What are your expectations for today's practice?
