First of all I would like to say, thanks to the site admins. Second, thanks to the rest of you Falcoholics for keeping me entertained while I have gone through two years and three months of reconstruction and rehabilitation on my hands. I am now at 95% mobility in my hands after a couple of horrific and unlucky accidents in a car and at work. Thankfully, rehab is over, and I have been given a clean bill of health.

It was quite the task to juggle two degree programs and a full time job with basically broken hands for that time. During that period, I could only type for about 30 minutes at a time or so. Dictation software saved my college career, and I just ignored the pain at work. During this time, I was just a lurker here after starting to post with more and more frequency until the aforementioned accidents. But it was okay, you guys usually had my thoughts already eloquently posted most of the time.

That being said, I surfed quite a lot of message boards and forums in which I could only read and not respond. The level of discourse I found elsewhere is nowhere close to what you can find here. Generally, members here are a bit more tolerant (usually) and more prone to acceptance of other opinions than anywhere else on the ENTIRE freaking Web. The AJC boards, ESPN, and other unnamed sites generally just have a bunch of asshats for members. (except WhopperDawg, I definitely appreciated your presence on AJC) This is the only place I usually comment, with the rare exception of other SB Nation sites. All of you helped me in a small but not unappreciated way in getting through an insanely difficult time in my life.

So, in closing just a big thanks to all you Falcoholics who helped keep me informed, entertained, and distracted from pain and frustration while I went through the most pain in my 25 years that I have ever experienced. Keep the civility please, we are all united under the Red and Black. None of us want to become Canal Street Chronicles, or the already mentioned AJC message boards. And most importantly, GO FALCONS.
