STAT WARS: Is A.J. Green really better than Julio Jones?

There's a big debate among fans all around about the 5th and 6th overall pick of 2011. These we're two very good rookies last season, so good that they both broke records which is incredibly hard with all the players that have come before them. Here i will make a case for both of their rookie season's. Of course I'm an Atlanta Falcon fan to the core so excuse me if i favor Julio a bit more then i should.

Showdown!

AJ had 65 catches, 1,057 yards and 7 touchdowns in 15 games. AJ was targeted 111 times and caught 65 of those targets which gave him 58.6 catch %. OK here we go, 4 of AJ's target were interception's whether they we're his fault idk but they were on his clock. On his defense he also had a rookie QB, AJ had 33 deep passes thrown his way and caught 16 of those to total 578 of his 1,057 yd season. Though AJ had a rookie QB, he also was the #1 receiver and the only real threat on the receiving end. That's a huge factor when considering the debate between the two. Would Green be as good or have as much success with Roddy White beside him and a Tony Gonz?

JJ is a beast at 54 catches, 959 yards and 8 TDs last season in 13 games (which was more like 12 games and 8 mins). He had 91 targets, and caught 54 of them which made his catch percentage 59.3 just a tad better then AJ. Only 2 of JJ targets were intercepted. He also had 22 targets deep and caught just 8 of them, but that accounted for 258 yards of his 959 yd season. JJ made alot of catches with some elite competition competing for the ball. JJ may not have caught alot of deep pass but this next stat proves even more why Julio should be considered the better receiver. JJ's YAC was way better than AJ's, which could say alot like; he's more elusive and more athletic ,faster etc....

(JJ: 7.8/YAC) (AJ : 4.4/YAC)
