Would it be a good idea to trade/release Turner and target Brandon Jacobs?

This is the way I see it. Turner has been consistently going downhill. I have loved Turner's run in Atlanta as much as the next guy, but we have to face he is losing his touch. I just read that Jacobs wants to stay with the Giants but will probably have to take a greatly reduced paycut.

Now I think it's obvious Turner has been a better overall RB than Jacobs, but they are essentially the same type of RB. Big legs and like to truck people over. Turner is costing us a pretty penny, so wouldn't it be a smart move to dump him and bring in Jacobs for a smaller price (but bigger than the Giants will give him)? We are going to be utilizing Rodgers more anyway, and Jacobs would be identical to putting Turner into the game. They both have about the same hands (not good), run about the same speed, and both about the same age. Jacobs would be like a cheaper Turner.

Jacobs isn't a bad RB. Hell, he ran all over us!
