Could he possibly be a nickel guy by the second or third week of the playoffs? Will Dimitroff give him that lucrative deal knowing his injury history? Does Samuel's and Robinson's performance and conditioning at the end of the season or a great value at corner being available in the draft factor in? I love the little bastard. His toughness permeated the whole team when he was at his best. Like Samuel, he was/is so sound technically that Dunta has to get picked on because the QB simply sees more separation with him than his primary. His leaping pass defenses were marvelous for his size, return skills after the interception great, and a good tackler for his size, although we do tackle considerably better as a team with our current backfield. Grimes tries to get guys down, Robinson clearly tries to make guys miss the next play. I hate to think so, but it's looking like he's played his last game here. As shrewd as Dimitroff is, I'm sure he'll let another GM overpay for his services and go forward with still a pretty damn good battery of the 2 older vets and Owens. Either way, I want to see him get paid somewhere and play well. Thoughts?
