24-21 Falcons sayeth the Swammi. Whats our record stat guys when he picks us? Whats HIS record when he picks us? That's the bad news. The good news is we get OG back this week and if we can put that crybaby Eli on his back a few times a quarter we got a chance.

I am just kind of putting this together from my surfing this morning so I hope it is enjoyed.

It’s time to do this. It’s time to win a playoff game before this “Mike Smith/Matt Ryan-can’t-win-a-playoff-game” takes real root. (And it hasn’t yet. Two examples do not a representative sample make.) It’s time for the Falcons to win a playoff game because there’s no reason they shouldn’t.

Who thinks so? Well, here was general manager Thomas Dimitroff, speaking after Thursday’s practice: “Our expectations going into this year were for more than just getting the playoffs. Does that answer you?”

The Falcons didn’t have quite the regular season we or they expected, but they’re here now, in essentially the same position as the Packers were a year ago. The Giants are favored, but only by a field goal, which is the standard home-field allotment. The Falcons had the better record. They’d also seem to have more good players — do you see a Michael Turner on the Giants? A Tony Gonzalez? Anything approaching the combination of Roddy White and Julio Jones? — and the numbers second the emotion.

Please football gods, give me a Super Bowl victory before I die, and being as how it could happen this year, ya know ??? Just sayin.........maybe a Brandon Boykin BEAST MODE type game from Weems would be cool, couple hundred for Turner and J/2 and two TD for TG, and a sack dance by a FAT man would be expected, however a safety dance and/or a TD dance by a FAT man would be most excellent.

Sound scared of the playoffs? Well...Yeah.

I guess it is odd to be afraid of the playoffs, but after a lifelong experience that includes knowledge of the opening opening kickoff in which the whiff occurred, the kick that wasn't so to speak I have come to fear the playoffs for our team as a place where something embarrassing happens. Last year was going to be the year, The Pack beat us like those red headed step children of lore. The year of the Cardinals, 3rd and a mile? Brooking? C'mon man. Lets go all the way back year of the SB visit. Yet another embarrassment. But we were there people say, The Braves were there 14 years in a row. Division Champs are cute, World champs on the other hand???????????
