Never heard of the guy…
If Halladay, Lee, and Hamels all break their arms while playing tag in the clubhouse, We'll be set

Never heard of this guy.
Oh well, I had to look up Mike Smith on Wikipedia when he became Falcons Coach.
It's all about Process...
Yeah but atleast Mike Smith was a DC for an NFL team. I watch alot of college football and I still havent heard of him

Few years ago he was a lock for the Penn State job.
Not sure why they went a different direction.

always dubious of college coaches...
This guy may not be a Saban, Spurrier, or you know, who, though. Those guys lacked loyalty because they were all waiting for the next big SEC job to open up. Schiano wasn’t with a powerhouse program, so he may be more committed to the Bucs. I think he’s a better choice for them than Kelly because he at least runs a pro style offense. Still, though, with so little NFL experience, I wonder about his ability to put together an experienced staff. I wish him no ill, other than hoping they lose to us twice a year for the foreseeable future.

Schiano made Rutgers a nationally relevant program.
And turned down multiple college jobs to stay at Rutgers. He isn’t one to jump ship. Ran a pro style offense and coached Ray Rice and Brian Leonard in college. He is a good coach and I think this will be a good hire for Tampa Bay.

What's with Tampa
hiring guys from Jersey
Raheem grew up in Irvington IIRC, not sure where Schiano grew up, but he was a big hire at Rutgers. They also paid him a lot of money and treated him well.
Abandoned his team's recruiting day to go be hired by Tampa Bay, thus putting a massive damper on their recruiting hopes.
Told none of his assistants he was being considered for the job. Just left. Nobody knew.

The Big East
has a lot of uncertainty, so he felt the NFL was a once in a lifetime opportunity to make money, and probably didn’t think he was going to get the job with Chip Kelly coming along so closely.
