Schottenheimer to Falcons?
How about NO. This is one guy I hope isn't even considered for the job.
He's not throwing the passes but the TD to INT ratio is barely 1 : 1 in his six years as the OC.
2011 Sanchez 3474YD 26TD 18INT
2010 Sanchez 3291 17 13
2009 Sanchez 2444 12 20
2008 Favre 3472 22 22
2007 Pennington 1765 10 9 / Clemens 1529 5 10
2006 Pennington 3352 17 16
I don't think I've ever seen that.
Atrocious!!!!!

Don't read too much into that
I’m not impressed with Sanchez. His decision making is terrible.
As for Favre – Favre spent the end of that season playing with a bum arm. If you’ll recall, the first half of that season was phenomenal (when Favre was healthy).
The Pennington years were also at a time when Chad was recovering from some serious shoulder issues and just couldn’t get the ball downfield well.
maybe
adjusting and calling plays that facilitate “weaker” arms would have been good. And he seemingly hasn’t coached Sanchez up, either. Not good.
Has he been involved (OC or not) with any good offenses? (not being sarcastic. asking cuz I really don’t know.)

like DW said
Farve started 08 with really great numbers. He tore his bicep or tendon near the bicep and played injured the rest of the year when he should have gotten surgery.
Regardless, the failures of the other QBs on his watch really makes him a bad choice. Sanchez was a first round pick, and had barely progressed. Which means either Sanchez should never have been taken in the first round, Shotty doesn’t know how to play to the strengths of his players (sound familiar), or both.
Jets fans were thrilled to see him go, just like we were with Mularkey. He will have better tools here, so it could work, but I don’t like the resume, especially when there are much better choices out there.

But I thought Sanchez was lazy?
Braves.
Falcons.
Gamecocks.
I kinda miss ol' Favre, just a little.
Rule #1: Double tap.

I also think
that Schotty would be a terrible fit.
His first year with the Jets saw them jump from total disaster mode to middle of the pack, but they stayed there ever since, be it with Pennington, be it with Favre, be it with Sanchez.
And it’s not like he didn’t have anything to play with. Even if Sanchez is very iffy, there is still arguably one of the league best O-Lines in the past 5 years, Holmes, Plax, LDT… there was always something to work with there. It never was…. I don’t know, Cleveland or something like that. He never got the Offense past 12th in DVOA. Falcons average rank under MM was 11.5.
How can he be considered an improvement?
Since when
does Joe have an inside track on Falcon info?
A word to the wise ain't necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice.
